At the BNI Indonesia National Conference 2025, one of the most inspiring moments came from the talk show “Women Leading with Impact: Scaling Businesses through BNI,” which highlighted the critical role of women entrepreneurs in driving growth and breaking barriers in
Indonesia’s business landscape.
According to data from Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), around 64% of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia are managed by women. However, despite their significant contribution to the economy, women entrepreneurs often face challenges such as limited access to capital, smaller business networks, and persistent gender bias in leadership. These barriers make platforms like BNI especially relevant, as they provide structured networking, collaboration opportunities, and an ecosystem built on trust and mutual support.
From right: Wina Tjen, Martha Meilita, and Rizki Triana discussing women and leadership in the business world. All three are business owners as well as inspiring leaders. They shared their experiences and challenges as businesswomen, and how BNI has helped them overcome those challenges.
The talk show featured three accomplished leaders: Wina Tjen from BNI Chapter Vision and founder of PT. Lotus Permai, Martha Meilita from BNI Chapter Rise and founder of Mulia Box, and Rizki Triana from BNI Chapter Magnify and founder of Oemah Etnik. In a 30-minute discussion, they shared personal stories of overcoming stereotypes, building resilient teams, and scaling their businesses. Each of them emphasized how BNI’s Givers Gain culture has not only expanded their networks but also given them the credibility to compete in broader markets.
The discussion underscored BNI’s broader vision: to empower business leaders by creating sustainable, trust-based networks that foster growth. For women entrepreneurs, this vision translates into real opportunities to strengthen their professional reputation, access new markets, and prepare their businesses for global competition.
By amplifying stories of resilience and collaboration, the session served as a reminder that leadership is not defined by gender but by impact. It also highlighted the urgency of breaking down barriers for women entrepreneurs who already play a vital role in Indonesia’s economy.
